We have three models mentioned below:

Fixed Cost, Time Based, Resource Based

Fixed Cost Based

Basic:

Based upon a specification mentioning the cost with the deliverables and timelines.

Benefits:

• Risk Mitigation
• Delivery within mentioned time
• Calculated cost with desired quality
• Milestone wise payment

When to Choose:  

• Project with no or little scope for changes and enhancement of features during execution or after.
• Actively participating clients with a very strong decision making capabilities while providing a strong feedbacks.
• Lower to medium levels of complexities. 

 

Time Based

Basic:

Based on the cost incurred by the resource utilization in a particular time period

Benefits:

• Regular update on process and progress based on which clients can plan forward to expand the project
• Resource continuation, knowledge retention and complete control over resources and processes 
• Adequate modification scope during execution

When to Choose:

• Project with variable scopes due to which accurate cost estimation is complex task.
• Project with evolving specifications, emerging technologies and undocumented processes. 
• Large scale and complex projects are best using this approach. 

 

Resource Based:

Based on the need for a dedicated pool of Expert IT resources as per the needs, expectation and preference. 

Benefits:

• Allows to access experienced the service at a predictable cost in a predictable environment while focusing internal resources on strategic priorities. 
• Access to a highly competent resource pool having expertise across a range of technologies and industry verticals.
• Resource continuation, knowledge retention and complete control over resources and processes.
